Hey Y'all!
My name is Amy Zubieta and I am the creator of Etchy Designs NOLA. My inspiration comes from my long time love of the great city of New Orleans.
I was born and raised in New Orleans and have the worst time not saying "y'all"
My favorite New Orlean dishes are Poboys, crawfish boil, snowballs and drive through Daiquiris shops (only in New Orleans!)

How We Began
At the start of my creative journey, I ventured into the world of Graphic Design by joining a local print shop. There, I dedicated myself to refining and perfecting my design and production skills. It's important to acknowledge that mastering design is one aspect, but mastering production is an entirely different challenge.
Then, cue the excitement—enter a laser cutter introduced by a friend. Wood, meet FIRE! The revelation hit me like a lightning bolt, and within a year, Big Blue (my very own laser) became a reality. Butterduckie, LLC was born, churning out laser-cut games, ornaments, and whatever wild idea crossed my mind.

Fast-Forward
Almost five years ago, life threw me a curveball—parenthood arrived in the most beautiful and unexpected way. My business took a backseat as I embraced the chaos and joy of being a stay-at-home mom to my sweet little boy, who is now almost five years old. Recently, life blessed me even further with the arrival of my twin daughters, and my heart (and hands!) is fuller than ever.
Now that my son is in school, I’ve found myself itching to reignite my creative spark. The name "Butterduckie" no longer aligned with the vision I have for this new chapter, so I decided to rebrand as Etchy Designs. This change reflects my renewed passion for creating—not through mass production, but through a hands-on, artistic journey. Jewelry and home items have become my canvas because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t adore a touch of handmade style and charm?

My Personal Pledge to Authenticity
"Don't be afraid to celebrate a promise when kept. In doing so, you're embracing the potential for a better world." – Unknown
As a business owner, I've noticed a troubling trend—many items labeled "handmade" are, in fact, mass-produced. This not only saddens me but diminishes the pride of true artisans.
I've made a commitment: I won't fall into that trap. Despite potential sacrifices, I'm dedicated to the genuine, hands-on creation of every item in my collection. Your trust means everything, and when you see or buy something from me, know it's been crafted with care and authenticity.
Thanks for stopping by—may something catch your eye and touch your heart!
